after all, its just collateral dammage, right?

all human life is valuable, regardless of anything, and it upsets me when people think otherwise.

like the people in afghanistan. . ."oh, that's just 'collateral dammage'. . . we're in a W-A-R, duh, what would you expect?!? innocent people have to die!"

you know, when timothy mcveigh bombed the courthouse in oklahoma city, apparently he "didn't know" that there were children in the building. he said that if he had known, he may not have chosen that building. . .but he said they were just "collateral dammage" anyway, so no regrets.

everyone is indignant over that, but for some reason, not many people have a problem with us killing innocent civilians in other countries. they're not americans, anyway, and we're all that matters. of course.

out of sight, out of mind. . .

by bombing afghanistan into nothing but rubble, we are reducing ourselves to the rank of the terrorists, they killed a bunch of innocent civilians, too, so why is it okay for us to do it?

but that's just my humble opinion.

and i'm not saying that we should stand by passively and not do anything about this terrorist problem, because we have to do something. i'm just not sure what, there is no easy solution to this. i am sure of one thing, though, and that's that the lives of people, any people, are far more valuable than vengeance.
