2003

2003 didn't start very auspiciously for me. in fact, it royally sucked. but this year turned out to be not so bad. a lot of crappy things happened. but so did a lot of good things. thinking about everything that happened this year:

experienced the death of two people somewhat close to me. one was quite an ordeal for me. but i survived.

turned 19. last time i'll ever be a teenager on my birthday.

fell in love.

traveled to a foreign country without supervision.

made plans to travel to another foreign country without anyone else i know.

found out one of my good friends was gay.

started a club at my school.

survived a hurricane.

one of my friends became engaged and it made me feel really old.

read the autobiography of malcolm x

the first major war my country was involved in, in my memory.

moved into an apartment!

realized just how important my friends are to me. thanks!

remind me of anything else i've forgotten!
