two days left and i am done and done with HBD
so, i went the whole day today thinking it was tuesday. and i swear it still feels like tuesday . . . even though i knew it was wednesday because i had a doctors appointment today and i knew that was on wednesday, duh. but when i got home i saw the date on the newspaper and thought . . . wait a second .. . how did we get this a day early?ugh so i had a pretty shitty day today. i had to get three more shots and there was this whole big mess at work that i got really upset over even though its not really that big a deal. well so i guess everyone who has ever held the job title of "office bitch" knows that basically, my job description is to do all the tasks that everyone else in the office doesn't want to do. you can never say, "oh, that's not my job," because basically when you work for people like this your job is whatever they tell you it is, even if that includes making personal phone calls and picking up their dry cleaning. now today the paralegal, i guess she was backed up with work, wanted me to go to district court to file something. i have never done that before and couldn't have even told you where the district court is, but i would have done it anyway because they told me to. but, it was rather inconvenient for me because i was blocked in by four cars and i had to go to the doctors later that day, so not only did i not have time to do it but if i did go and came back, my car would then be blocking everyone in and i would not be there to move it, as i would be at the doctors. the other file clerk there, however, was not blocked in by anyone and she could have done it as well. but, despite all this, and despite me reminding them that i had to leave soon, it still was insisted that i take it. so anyway to make a long story short, there ended up being a lot of confusion and frustration and miscommunication between the different people giving me orders, but it eventually worked out, i think. and my mom told me that the reason they probably didn't want to ask the other file clerk to do it is because she often throws fits and refuses to do tasks like that. and she told me this story about how my aunt, who just got a job as an assistant principal, went back to work the other day to prepare for the school year and ended up helping the principal cart boxes of textbooks around to take the load off the custodians. and a lot of the teachers were walking by surprised that a principal would be doing that, and he replied that they must have only worked with "prima donnas" in the past. and i realized how true that was and it made me feel better as corny as that all sounds, lol.
so.......yeah kim i think it would be a good idea to visit a spa before the summer ends :)
